Call for Talks: Help Shape What’s Next for Suricata
SuriCon brings together the global community that builds, deploys, researches, and advances Suricata in real-world environments. From core engine development to large-scale production deployments, this is where the people behind the packets come together. We invite proposals that demonstrate technical depth, operational insight, and forward-thinking ideas that strengthen Suricata and the broader open-source network security ecosystem.
Topics may include (but are not limited to):
- Real-world deployment stories
- Detection engineering and rule development
- Threat intelligence integration
- Performance tuning and scalability
- Suricata integrations and ecosystem tooling
- Protocol analysis and deep technical dives
- Original technical research
- Lessons learned — including both successes and hard-earned challenges
We prioritize practical, experience-driven talks that share meaningful knowledge with the community and help move Suricata forward. Whether you are contributing to the engine, running Suricata at scale, building tooling around it, or pushing the boundaries of what’s possible - we want to hear from you.
Call for talks will be open until June 1, 2026. Every submission is thoughtfully reviewed by the OISF team. We may follow up with questions during the process, and speakers will be notified by July 1, 2026.
