The last few years Free and Open Source software has come under attack! Large and smaller projects have been flooded with "Slop Contributions". Frustrated maintainers have had enough of AI contributions. To makes things worse cyber attacks specifically malware have skyrocketed in the Open Source world. Malware has increasingly been spotted in new areas of the FOSS supply chain. In this talk you will hear about what maintainers are doing to gain back control from the "Slop Contributions". I will also discuss the latest Linux Malware landscape and what projects are doing to protect users.
