Learn how we implemented thoughtful, ethical, and responsible AI-powered features to boost content editors' productivity in the latest version of Wagtail AI.
With all the buzz around it, where does AI fit in Wagtail as an open source project, and how?
In this talk, we'll start with a quick overview of Wagtail's guiding principles for AI, with a focus in human-in-the-loop design, provider flexibility, and ethical guardrails. Then we’ll walk through the new editor-focused features we implemented in Wagtail AI: content summaries, qualitative feedback, contextual image alt text generation, and more. Finally, we’ll give you a sneak peek of what's to come in Wagtail AI.
Attendees will come away with:
- A clear picture of Wagtail’s AI vision and why it avoids vendor lock-in.
- Practical knowledge of what’s available today in Wagtail AI.
- An understanding of upcoming features and how they can shape future editorial workflows.
- Insight into how to responsibly integrate AI into Wagtail projects while keeping editors in control.
