 his trade route. This paper is an attempt to look into the historical impo
 rtance of Silk Road in India\, using primary and secondary sources. This s
 tudy will bring out the effects of economic exchange on the intercultural 
 relations and how this encounter developed globalisation in ancient time e
 specially in Indian region. Pattern of cultural diffusion and trade are ex
 plored statically with the use of description and hypothesis testing.
