Alina Liburkina is Software Craftress and CEO of Codeartify GmbH. She is a technical trainer, software engineer and architect, and (IT) event organizer passionate about DDD, Refactoring, Hexagonal and Clean Architecture. She is a co-organizer of an international conference and meetups TechExcellence. Moreover, she promotes and introduces XP techniques in the teams she works with. She loves to gather and share her knowledge with others through pair or mob programming, presentations or hands-on workshops.

Björn Persson is an Agile Coach and Strategic Advisor at ProAgile, specializing in helping software organizations improve their delivery flow and team dynamics. With a deep background in agile methodologies, Björn focuses on bridging the gap between business value and technical execution.

Currently, he is at the forefront of the AI transformation, helping teams move beyond the hype of individual productivity tools toward integrated, high-performing AI workflows. He frequently collaborates with international experts to deliver hands-on workshops that combine strategic leadership with practical engineering excellence.

Christian Heitzmann, MSc ETH RW, ist Inhaber der SimplexaCode AG in Luzern, Schweiz. Zu seinen IT-Zertifizierungen zählen Java, Python und Spring. Er verfügt über Lehrdiplome in Informatik und Mathematik sowie ein CAS in Machine Learning. Mit über 20 Jahren Erfahrung in professioneller Softwareentwicklung und über 15 Jahren in Lehre und Schulung arbeitet er als Entwickler, Dokumentationsberater und Trainer und bringt dabei Ordnung in Software, Dokumentation und Daten.

Ich bin diplomierter Informatikingenieur (FH) und Platform Architect bei Puzzle ITC in Bern. Als Mitglied des Technical Boards gestalte ich die technologische Ausrichtung des Unternehmens massgeblich mit – angetrieben von einer grossen Leidenschaft für CI/CD, Automatisierung und Cloud-Native-Technologien. Meine Expertise liegt an der Schnittstelle zwischen Platform Engineering, DevSecOps und moderner Softwarearchitektur.

Mit über 15 Jahren Erfahrung unterstütze ich Organisationen dabei, skalierbare und sichere Software-Delivery-Pipelines zu entwerfen, die Effizienz, Qualität und Sicherheit nachhaltig steigern. Mein Fokus liegt auf dem Aufbau von Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) und Developer Portalen (Backstage). Dabei lege ich besonderen Wert auf die Developer Experience und die Sicherheit der Software Supply Chain, um Innovation und Security optimal in Einklang zu bringen.

David Pinezich studierte Informatik in Zürich und ist seit vielen Jahren als Entwickler und Architekt bei diversen Banken, Versicherungen und KMUs tätig. Er entwickelt vorwiegend in Python, PHP, Java sowie JavaScript/TypeScript, und das mit grosser Leidenschaft. Durch seine Liebe zum Unterrichten hat er seine eigene Firma, die apigenio GmbH, gegründet, die sich auf Schulungen, Architektur-Consulting und Individualsoftware spezialisiert hat.

Eberhard Wolff ist Head of Architecture bei SWAGLab und arbeitet seit mehr als zwanzig Jahren als Architekt und Berater, oft an der Schnittstelle zwischen Geschäft und Technologie. Er ist Autor zahlreicher Artikel und Bücher, trägt regelmäßig als Sprecher auf internationalen Konferenzen vor und streamt wöchentlich zum Thema Software-Architektur. Sein technologischer Schwerpunkt sind moderne Architektur- und Entwicklungsansätze wie Cloud, Domain-driven Design und Microservices.

Farhad Mehta is a Professor for Software Engineering and Programming Languages in the department of Computer Science at the OST-Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences. His interests and experience include software engineering (both mainstream and formal approaches thereof), programming languages, functional programming, logic and algorithm design. He dreams of a future when software is much more fun to write and just works.

Flurin is a Senior AI Engineer at Open Systems, where he builds and operates agentic systems in production. His work focuses on the unglamorous half of AI engineering: observability, evaluation, and the infrastructure that turns a promising prototype into something a security team will sign off on. He works extensively with Google ADK, MCP, Agent Skills, and OpenTelemetry.

Freya Bruhin ("The Compiler") hat 2011 Python entdeckt und seit 2015 in diversen Firmen sowie an Konferenzen Vorträge und Workshops zu pytest sowie Python durchgeführt. Freya ist Mitentwicklerin und -maintainerin von pytest, dem bekanntesten Test-Framework für Python.

Iryna Dohndorf is a software engineer at Karakun, where she works on customer projects using the Java technology stack. With strong technical expertise, genuine curiosity, and a deep passion for computer science, she develops technologies that tackle the challenges of modern companies and today’s society.

An enthusiastic interdisciplinary researcher and developer, Iryna has conducted research in modeling and optimization at TU Dortmund and has worked on software for autonomous driving, government agencies, and EU projects supporting the advancement of organic farming.

Beyond her project work, Iryna is deeply engaged in the international developer community. She is an active member of the BaselOne Program Committee and the Devoxx UK Program Committee,and a frequent speaker at international conferences. Through her talks, writing, and community
involvement, she aims to inspire developers, encourage critical thinking about emerging technologies,
and contribute to the sustainable growth of the global Java ecosystem.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and is passionate about swimming, skiing, and—most recently—cycling.

Johannes Graën has over 20 years of experience working with PostgreSQL, spanning both commercial and scientific applications. He has designed and implemented complex systems built around PostgreSQL databases and has worked extensively as a developer and part-time database administrator. He has also shared his knowledge at various PostgreSQL conferences.

Johannes holds a PhD in Computational Linguistics from the University of Zurich, where he currently supports researchers with technical solutions — many of them involving PostgreSQL.

Jonas Bandi ist freiberuflicher Entwickler, Consultant und Trainer mit dem Fokus, moderne Frontend-Entwicklung in Enterprise-Projekte zu bringen. Mit einem Hintergrund in Java & .NET arbeitet er heute primär mit JavaScript, Angular und React.

Er hat Dutzende von In-House-Workshops in der ganzen Schweiz durchgeführt und ist an der Berner Fachhochschule (BFH) verantwortlich für das CAS "Moderne Frontendentwicklung".

Kevin Nash is a Senior Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS), based in Switzerland. With a background in distributed systems and many years experience building for the customer. He is passionate about technology, understanding how systems work and helping customers bringing their solutions into the Cloud.

Martin Stypinski ist Gründer der Veemg GmbH in Zürich, einem Unternehmen für ML Engineering und Beratung, sowie Studiengangleiter des Weiterbildungsstudiengangs „Machine Learning for Software Engineers“ an der Ostschweizer Fachhochschule in Rapperswil. In den letzten fünfzehn Jahren war er in verschiedenen ingenieurtechnischen Positionen in der Softwareindustrie und der angewandten Forschung tätig. Seine Leidenschaft gilt anspruchsvollen Aufgaben im Bereich Machine Learning und Computer Vision - insbesondere dort, wo intelligente Systeme über einfache Klassifikation hinaus echten Mehrwert schaffen.

Matthias Graf arbeitet bei Zühlke Engineering in der Schweiz als Software Architect und Consultant im Java-Umfeld. Er beschäftigt sich mit der Entwicklung moderner Webanwendungen in agilen Projekten und interessiert sich seit Jahren für das Quarkus-Ökosystem. Daneben unterstützt er Kunden aus verschiedenen Branchen bei der Umsetzung von Identity- und Access-Management-Lösungen.

Michael Inden ist Java- und Python-Enthusiast mit über 25 Jahren Berufserfahrung. Er hat bei diversen internationalen Firmen in verschiedenen Rollen etwa als Software-entwickler, -architekt, Teamleiter, CTO, Head of Development und Trainer gearbeitet. Derzeit ist er als Dozent für Software Engineering an der FH OST in Rapperswil tätig.

Darüber hinaus spricht er bei der Java User Group Switzerland sowie auf Konferenzen (JAX/W-JAX, JAX London, ch.open und Oracle Code One) und schreibt Fachbücher wie "Java 25 LTS & 26: Modernes Java kompakt und praxisnah", "Der Weg zum Java-Profi" sowie die Pärchen "Java Challenge» / «Python Challenge" und "Einfach Java" / "Einfach Python".

Michael Krämer entwickelt seit über 25 Jahren Software und arbeitet als Softwarearchitekt bei INNOQ Schweiz. Agentic Coding zu nutzen und dabei im Driver Seat zu bleiben ist seine aktuell spannendste Herausforderung. Er setzt sich in seinen Projekte sehr dafür ein, Komponenten mit klaren Verantwortlichkeiten zu erarbeiten und technisch angemessene Lösungen für fachliche Anforderungen zu finden. Ausserdem gibt er Trainings für Softwarearchitektur.

Mike Mannion is a software developer, consultant, and long-time Java practitioner with more than three decades of experience building enterprise systems. He has spoken at JavaOne in San Francisco and at many other conferences and user groups.

He is the creator of PUnit, an open-source framework for probabilistic testing in Java. His recent work focuses on a problem many teams are now encountering: once AI, LLMs, distributed systems, or other non-deterministic components enter the control flow of an application, traditional one-shot assertions are no longer enough.

Mike’s talks explore how developers can regain confidence in such systems by using statistical evidence: repeated sampling, pass-rate thresholds, confidence intervals, empirical baselines, and ongoing monitoring. His goal is to make probabilistic thinking accessible to working developers without burying them in statistical theory.

Nicole Koenigstein is an AI Researcher and Practitioner in Agentic Systems, working across research, consulting, teaching, and direct system implementation to build reliable, production-ready AI systems. Her work focuses on multi-agent architectures, evaluation, safety, and long-term system behavior.

She served as an external evaluator for a European Commission AI Grand Challenge and has advised IOSCO on generative AI in regulated environments. She also serves on advisory boards for leading AI and quantitative finance conferences. Nicole regularly delivers invited talks and technical workshops across academia, industry, and international events.

She is the author of Math for Machine Learning and Transformers in Action with Manning Publications. Her book Transformers: The Definitive Guide: Applications Beyond NLP has been published by O’Reilly Media, and her forthcoming book AI Agents: The Definitive Guide will also be published by O’Reilly Media.

Oliver Zihler is a dedicated Software Crafter specialising in Domain-Driven Design, Event Sourcing, collaborative modelling, and effective software development. His current focus lies in leveraging software architecture and business semantics to improve AI reasoning and AI-assisted development. Oliver actively organises Tech Excellence meetups and conferences, fostering community learning and innovation. Ornella Vaccarelli is a Senior Research Scientist at iCoSys and the Lead Scientist at SCAI (Swiss Center for Augmented Intelligence), where she pioneers innovative AI solutions across diverse domains. With expertise ranging from computer vision and computational physics to the latest developments in large language models (LLMs), she bridges cutting-edge research and practical application.

Her collaborative projects span from fundamental research at EPFL—focused on sustainable materials for solar cells—to developing an LLM-RAG system for the Swiss parliament and the Parliamentary Library. Ornella’s work not only advances scientific understanding but also transforms how industry and government leverage AI for informed decision-making.

A prolific researcher, her findings have been published in high-impact journals, and she is a regular speaker at international conferences. Ornella earned her PhD in Computational Physics from Sorbonne University in Paris and holds a Master’s in Theoretical Physics from the University of Bari. Her career exemplifies a commitment to pushing the boundaries of AI while ensuring its responsible and effective integration into real-world applications.

Patrick Baumgartner is a Java Champion, passionate software crafter, and technical agile coach at 42talents. He helps teams build elegant, simple, and robust solutions, specializing in cloud software with Java, the Spring ecosystem, and other open-source technologies.

Tobias Bussmann came into contact with PostgreSQL in the early 2000s and became an enthusiast the more he has been involved with the product and the community since then.
Tobias is inaugural member and current treasurer of the Swiss PostgreSQL Users Group and part of the organization committee of the annual Swiss PGDay and CERN PGDay. He is co-maintainer of PostgresApp, an official PostgreSQL distribution for macOS.
You will likely have a chance to meet him at various community events and conferences. For a living, he is working as a Software Engineer at the Swiss Academy of Sciences in Bern, Switzerland, where he lives.
