As technology advances, it is crucial for developers to consider how cultural contexts, levels of tech exposure, and digital literacy influence user's mental models and expectations. Drawing on personal experiences and past projects, I will discuss key considerations and a framework for building usable web interfaces, whether for graphical user interfaces, voice interactions, multimodal interactions and everything in between.
Attendees will gain insights into the importance of cultural awareness in designing effective interfaces and look at localisation beyond languages, along with practical tips for creating more inclusive and user-friendly experiences.
