Political Design

Political Design is when User Experience (UX) professionals adapt to a culture, environment, and perspective compared to creating optimal user experiences based primarily on fundamental design principles. Simply put, Political Design is when corporate dynamics impact the design process.

Design starts with curiosity, play, and passion. Over time, we’re organically introduced to pain-points, policies, and politics, which intermingle with our innovative design experiences. This unique dynamic; creates opportunities and space for problems to be solved. In other words, No tension. No extension.

Additionally, Political Design has little to do with technical knowledge or skill set, but more about the soft skills of humanity: communication, open-minded approaches to conflicts, being present, and how others engage around us.

As a seasoned User Experience (UX) professional and consultant, I excel in “connecting dots”, collaboration, and redesigns. My expertise in ideation, cross-functional facilitation, and user-centered design; allows for creative, intuitive, and appealing interactive experiences.
