This workshop provides a deep dive into usability testing, focusing on planning, conducting, and analyzing tests at various stages of product development. Drawing on Netgen's real-world experience, participants will learn best practices for testing, identify key moments in a project lifecycle for usability testing, and discover strategies for overcoming budget constraints. The session includes hands-on practice, where participants will work in teams to plan and execute a usability study on a real-world example of testing a flow from the telecommunications industry. Additionally, participants will gain valuable insights on interpreting test results and translating user feedback into actionable improvements to enhance product usability and user experience.
Katarina is a UX Researcher and the Head of Netgen's UX department. She specializes in managing the Discovery phase of projects and managing user testing to ensure that solutions developed by Netgen meet client needs. Katarina is passionate about mentoring her team and running training sessions that contribute to the growth of the UX field.
Vjeran Vlahović is a co-founder of Netgen, with over 15 years of experience dedicated to enhancing user experiences for businesses across various industries. He plays a key role in the development and leadership of Netgen's UX/UI and frontend teams. Vjeran is also one of the founders of Web Summer Camp, a three-day conference that has been offering hands-on education in UX and web development since 2011.
Together, they teach the course “UX and UI Design" at the Faculty of Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb.
