In this talk, we’ll explore the journey of creating and evolving the Saudi National Design System—from early research and stakeholder alignment to nationwide adoption. We’ll unpack real-world challenges, including cross-ministerial buy-in and ensuring adoption at scale, while showing how the system aligns with global benchmarks like the UN’s E-Government Development Index (EGDI) and Online Services Index (OSI).
Through real-world testing with people with disabilities, the system validates and improves UX components in practice. Finally, learn how we measure impact at a national scale—from reducing design and development costs to accelerating time-to-market and improving public service KPIs. This is how inclusive, standards-based UX translates into measurable national impact.
