In this case study, I’ll share my experience leading a UX Research team in hybrid and remote environments. We’ll explore the real-world challenges of fostering team collaboration, alignment, and efficiency when researchers are spread across different products. I’ll outline strategies for adapting leadership approaches to meet the unique needs of UX Researchers, from effective 1:1s and team meetings to implementing social activities, Stay Interviews, and Growth Talks that promote both individual and team development.
Whether you’re a researcher, team lead, or anyone involved in UX Research, this talk will provide actionable insights on improving team processes, encouraging open communication, and maintaining strong connections. You’ll walk away with concrete examples to enhance collaboration, engagement, and productivity in your own UXR team.
