This talk outlines the recent participation agreement between RISC-V International and RISE Project to provide funding and support to make RISC-V a fully supported architecture within the Yocto Project community. We will introduce the RISC-V board member, RISE Project coordinator, and the contracted maintainer who will be interacting with YP+OE on a regular basis to field issues and provide support.
Trevor Gamblin is an embedded Linux developer at BayLibre. He is a contributor to many projects but is especially focused on the Yocto Project, the Linux kernel, and all things Python. He has a background in wireless communication systems and physics.
Jefro is a long-time open source advocate and community leader. He helped create the Yocto Project and served as community manager and board chair for the first 7 years. Jefro also worked with RISC-V International for two years during its transition to the Linux Foundation. He currently works as a community architect within Red Hat's Open Source Program Office, and serves on the board of RISC-V International as an elected representative for Strategic members.
