(344) Bright and Somber Future: The 2048 Perspectives on Labor and Digitalization
Maida Maya Salkanovic, Łukasz W. Niparko, Aleksandra Jarocka
In the future, remote work will enable people to surpass the geographic and political boundaries and encourage mobility. COVID-19 lockdowns accelerated the transition which was already underway. The transition to remote work provides many opportunities for the improvement of people’s lives, but it also poses certain threats to workers’ rights. In order for the transition to occur fairly and justly for the laborers, certain expectations for human rights need to be established early in the process.
