After walking away from my creative dreams years ago, Bitcoin unexpectedly gave me the spark to return to filmmaking and storytelling with a new purpose. In this talk, I’ll share how Bitcoin reshaped not only my perspective on money—but also my approach to art and life. Attendees will leave inspired to see Bitcoin not just as a financial revolution, but as a catalyst for unlocking creativity and pursuing long-forgotten passions.
Growing up, I fell for the starving artist myth. Creativity was not viable career path because trading time for money means living on the hamster wheel, unable to do things like start a family and build wealth. During my final semester in University, in an elective journalism class, my professor recognized my curiosity and passion and encouraged me to reconsider this belief.
After starting my career in the filmmaking industry, I was confronted by fiat incentives, ego-driven directors, and difficult clients that drained my passion and nearly ended my creative journey. Years later, Bitcoin reignited that spark, and today I’m channeling it into my latest project: Build on Bitcoin, The Bulgarian Journey. In this talk, I’ll share behind-the-scenes lessons from filming in Bulgaria—including clips from the journey—while exploring how Bitcoin is being used as a medium of exchange and changing lives across the country.
My intention with this talk is to help you turn your desire to build on Bitcoin into a reality. I will also share tactical insights for making content and telling stories that inspire action, amplify your message, and connect deeply with the Bitcoin community.
