Diego de Sola, co-founder of Glasswing International, will share how Bitcoin can catalyze educational and employment opportunities for youth across Latin America. For 17 years, Glasswing has implemented community-based programs that equip young people to thrive despite challenging environments. As technological change accelerates, preparing youth to navigate and shape this future is critical. Diego will show how integrating Bitcoin education into local programs helps youth build digital competencies, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills—key for emerging jobs. He will also present results from a recent financial education course that paired core money-management skills with a hands-on introduction to Bitcoin (savings, basic security, and Lightning), showing measurable gains in students’ motivation to learn, innovate, and pursue entrepreneurship. This talk offers a perspective from the field: how Bitcoin can empower youth and strengthen communities from the ground up.

This talk will explore how Bitcoin can become a strategic ally to strengthen initiatives that improve young people’s lives. It will focus on educational programs that prepare them to thrive amid rapid technological change. Bitcoin represents more than financial innovation. It is an open, global, and resilient infrastructure that fosters collaboration, learning, and value creation. Diego will share how integrating knowledge about Bitcoin into existing programs can help youth build digital skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving—essential for the jobs of the future.
He will also present results from a financial education course implemented by Glasswing. Many youth from vulnerable contexts lack financial education, often making poor decisions such as taking on excessive debt that harms their emotional wellbeing and long-term prospects. The course taught them money management, saving, and planning, and introduced Bitcoin and its transformative potential. The findings show a clear rise in their motivation to learn, innovate, and pursue entrepreneurial opportunities.
Diego will offer a field perspective on how equipping youth to engage with the Bitcoin ecosystem can expand their educational and employment opportunities, fuel their growth, and strengthen their communities.
