El Salvador made history as the first nation to adopt Bitcoin. Beyond legal tender laws, Bitcoin here is becoming a foundation for identity, community, and sovereignty. At the same time, thinkers and builders worldwide are exploring the rise of 'network states' — internet-native communities that grow into real-world societies. This talk will bridge these ideas: how Bitcoin adoption in El Salvador illustrates the network effect of money, and how those same dynamics may lead to new models of governance and community.
