A story of conviction, creativity, and the power of Bitcoin to shape real lives.
In 2022, we opened a small guesthouse in El Zonte — the birthplace of Bitcoin Beach. What started as a modest project soon turned into a living example of Bitcoin adoption in action.
Guests paid in Lightning, a crazy Bitcoin YouTuber helped with marketing and the Bitcoin community kept showing up — not just with sats, but with energy, support, and connection.
Over time, the sats from Bitcoiners literally became bricks: we reinvested them into building two new apartments on the property. What grew was more than a business — it was a community effort rooted in trust, freedom, and gratitude.
In this talk, I’ll share how Bitcoin shaped every step of this journey: how circular economy became reality, how small entrepreneurs can thrive without banks, and how community and sound money can truly build a home.
