ثمّة حالات يمر فيها الخطاب الضار مرور الكرام أو لا يتم اكتشافه أو يصعب اكتشافه، فيما يبتكر الجناة دائمًا طرقاً لنشر خطاب الكراهية أو المحتوى الضار. وكبداية، يميل هؤلاء إلى فهم كيفية حظر المنشورات، ثم يستخدمون أساليب للتحايل على ذلك. ويتمثل أحد الأساليب الشائعة في استخدام الفروق الدقيقة في اللهجات الثقافية، التي يصعب فهمها حتى من قبل الناطقين باللغة.
في هذ الجلسة، سوف نشرح كيفية حدوث ذلك من خلال عرض نماذج حقيقية لمنشورات أدت إلى أذى جسدي قائم على النوع الاجتماعي أو الانتماء السياسي. بالإضافة إلى المنشورات، بعض المجالات الأخرى لا تخضع أو تملك آليات مباشرة للإبلاغ، مثل المقاطع القصيرة والتعليقات ومقاطع الفيديو المنشورة على موقع فايسبوك.
سيتم ايضاً تقديم أمثلة عن حسابات تم حظرها عن طريق الخطأ، رغم أنها تعود بالفائدة على المجتمع.
