Privacy on the internet is stuck in a vicious circle involving tech and legislation, which we need to escape.
It takes far too long for legislators to transpose directives. The data industry uses an arsenal of dark patterns and technical stunts to creatively interpret or completely circumvent the applicable law.
A new approach is needed to solve this problem in a sustainable way and make the web a better place again. In our talk we will give a brief insight into problematic patterns and techniques as well as approaches to overcome them.
