Treat Routeserves like a piece of Software

Currently routeservers at IXPs are often treated like network appliances. Reconfigure as often as required, but reboot as less as possible. This doesn't match current requirements to development and operations of software in IT environments that require regular reboot or rebuilt of software to add features or security fixes. As routeserver availability is actively monitored by our customers, we want to discuss the (in-)convenience of regular maintenance works on our routeservers.
