I am the Fedora Operations Architect and love being part of such a vibrant, dynamic and inclusive community. I am employed by Red Hat and live in Waterford, Ireland.
I also have one son (who is now much taller than me) and too many horses to list, and my free time is mostly spent as the groom, and travelling around Ireland with my son and extended family to horse shows. I also love a good fantasy adventure epic to relax and lose myself in too.

Managing is hard when you're not a 'manager'
aoife

Throughout any project or business you will find people who 'keep the ball moving', but those people are usually never 'managers'. They are sometimes called Leads, Co-Ordinators, Owners, Architects, and what these people all have in common is the ability to lead through influence. This short talk will touch on some examples of this behaviour in many settings - from office coordination to event management to releasing of a distribution, and hopefully serve as a message to people in the audience who may be already doing this work that its valuable, they are important and share ideas on how to be successful in managing when you're not a manager!
