Podman 5 is the first Podman major release in two years, and includes a number of new features - and some big changes. In this talk, we will explore what makes a major version (and why the Podman team chose to release Podman 5 now), highlight important features and changes, and explain the logic behind many of the team's decisions. Attendees will learn about Podman, the team's push towards multi-platform support, and the difficulties of long-term software maintenance.
