I studied geotechnical engineering and applied geophysics (imaging the subsurface using similar techniques to those we use in hospital to do non-invasive tests on the body), and then worked for Arup for 4 years as a geotechnical engineer and computational designer.
During my time at Arup I worked on applying computational design to geotechnical engineering, and on communicating subsurface data (ground investigation data, ground models and geotechnical analysis results).
With Bedrock.engineer, I'm building the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), tools and apps that I wished existed when I was still working at Arup.

Deze workshop laat zien hoe je IFC‑bestanden gebruikt in een geografische context. Je leert over methode IFCmapconversion die plaatsbepaling in IFC BIM‑modellen mogelijk maakt hoe je zelf deze geo-referentie doorvoert in deze bestanden die je ontvangt. Daarbij gebruiken we praktische tools zoals QGIS en webbased online viewers. En je wordt bekend met de nieuwe richtlijn GeoBim geo-refereren vanuit Geonovum. Deelnemers gaan naar huis met een duidelijk stappenplan om IFC‑modellen betrouwbaar te geo-refereren voor hun eigen organisatie.
