MozFest 2022

Ethical Dilemma Cafe 2.0
Language: English (mozilla)

We created Ethical Dilemma Cafe for MozFest in 2014, where we explored the ethical dilemmas faced everyday online but rarely imagined in our physical lives. These dilemmas manifested in a series of installations and workshops at the time.
Now in 2022, join us to re-explore & re-imagine these real life dilemmas for today, 8 years later. In our session we discuss the blend of online & offline data use, and how it can be used to surprise, provoke and pose real questions.

What assumptions does your data say about you?
Do you ever read those Terms and Conditions and the types of access you have just agreed to? Have you spared a thought how Big Tech profiles you from your online purchases or likes on a profile? Or even comprehended what advertisers predict the future you will be like?
Together we will create and map a series of ethical dilemmas we face in our everyday lives.

Post MozFest virtual, we are reopening Ethical Dilemma Cafe 2.0, live from Manchester, UK so the dispotian views built from this virtual session will inspire the dilemmas and discussions we will present in Manchester.
