Continuing the conversation from Bread&Net Festival in November 2021, Nikki Gladstone from RightsCon, Moussa Saleh of Bread&Net, and Mars Marshall from Allied Media Conference join Sarah Allen at MozFest to discuss how community spaces have transitioned online and explore what’s in store for the future of events.
Chance to have open reflections between four festival hosts on the challenges and opprotunities in designing, convening digitals rights communities in online spaces in the current climate. This conversation started in November 2021 at Bread&Net, and highlighted similar issues, concerns and learnings in how to meet the needs of global diverse communities in the ever changing landscape of online events.
By extending this conversation, the aim is to continue to learn from each other, and our events, while listening to participants share what their experiences have been.

Director of MozFest
Nikki Gladstone is a community manager, writer, and advocate for digital rights. Since 2017, she has worked with Access Now as the Director of RightsCon, the world's leading summit on human rights and technology. Before Access Now, Nikki worked with the Wilson Center's Digital Futures Project on the foreign policy implications of emerging technologies, and as a Graduate Fellow with the University of Toronto's Digital Public Square. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University and a Master of Global Affairs degree from the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs
