Open Source Experience proposes about hundred slots for talks in the program.

Intervention format:

Only one format of intervention is possible: 20-minute talks featuring one to two speakers maximum.

However, you can propose a 45-minute roundtable if all speakers are from different organizations (maximum 5 speakers).

Please ensure diversity and representation in your panels!

Submission rules

Each speaker can submit a maximum of 3 proposals.

Once your proposal is submitted, you can add information until the CFP closes (but no substantial changes to the content).

To allow for diversity of view points in the program, we limit the number of conferences selected per organization (excluding sponsor talks).

Expected content of presentations

For this edition, in a context where the digital future of Europe is uncertain, we have chosen to focus the conference on the contribution of open source to Europe's strategic autonomy. The editorial by the program president Ludovic Dubost is available here:

Regarding the types of conferences, we expect, in line with the main theme of the conference:

• Feedback on the successes of the Open Source offer in production
• Innovations demonstrating the technological excellence of European Open Source
• Presentations on the implementation and tools for migrating from proprietary solutions
• Presentations to help our industry develop on business, financing, and open source governance issues

Each theme will outline its expectations for the presentations.

The themes selected this year are:

• Business models and governance for sustainable open source strategies
• Artificial intelligence and scientific computing for data analysis
• Cloud architecture & virtualisation for an autonomous future
• Collaborative tools and business applications: regaining digital autonomy
• Development: software innovation in action
• Cybersecurity & software supply chain: open source as a foundation of trust

International Track

This year, we have decided to set up a multi-theme international room grouping the conferences presented in English. If you submit your proposal in English, regardless of the track chosen, the best presentations will be placed in the international room. The other presentations will still be considered for the thematic rooms.
