Ubaida Abdulai is an AI/ML Engineer and digital transformation advocate with an interest in using technology for social good. She designs and implements AI solutions that drive innovation across banking, healthcare, and development sectors. Her work is guided by a deep commitment to Ethical AI, Fairness, and Governance, ensuring that technological advancement remains inclusive, transparent, and responsible.
Beyond engineering, Ubaida is an advocate for diversity in technology. As Programs Manager at Because She Can and a volunteer with Women in Machine Learning & Data Science (WiMLDS), she has led workshops, mentorship programs, and trainings for more than 700 women and girls, secured funding for digital empowerment initiatives, and facilitated laptop donations and tech education for underserved communities.
A recognized speaker and thought leader, Ubaida has spoken at PyCon Africa, the Ghana Data Science Summit, and Divas in AI, where she engages audiences on topics such as AI ethics, digital inclusion, mentorship, and equitable transformation.
