Ava Katushka

Ava Katushka is a software engineer and artist who blends creativity with code. By day, she builds back-end systems and tinkers with front-end projects at Bloomberg; by night, she creates watercolor art, postcards, and quirky illustrations. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Ava worked at Yandex, Google and Mozilla. She loves algorithms and data structures and has her own website dedicated to them.

During conferences, Ava love to make art notes. Her unique note-taking style combines doodles, symbols, and words to make conference learning stick — and she’s on a mission to help others turn their notes into visual stories worth remembering. You can see some of her notes from EuroPython 2025 here.

Ava earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology
