Meroua Zouai
Meroua Zouai is the Legal Associate at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy (TIMEP). As a US-trained human rights lawyer, she has dedicated her career to pursuing accountability for human rights violations and increasing access to justice across MENA and West Africa by working with local and international NGOs. She received her J.D. and M.A. in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania with a Global Human Rights Certificate.

For the audience to walk away with: 1) an understanding of the types of violations that occur online by state and non-state actors; 2) understanding prospects for digital rights litigation in MENA (domestically and internationally); 3) an exchange on how non-MENA digital rights litigation can contribute to the accountability culture for digital rights violations in MENA.
