Provide space and reflection on open source community building:
- How might we balance reward and enablement?
- How do we know when a dynamic becomes exploitative?
- How might we balance financial sustainability and imbalance of power in funded open source projects?
- How might we ensure that these projects undo the harms of capitalism, rather than feed them?
- How could praxis such as design justice and ubuntu AI play a role in informing community building?
The aim of the session, is to provide space for people to reflect and generate idea about the future of open source community building.

For example using breakout rooms and having facilitators.

Mozilla Common Voice is an open-source initiative to make voice technology more inclusive. Contributors donate speech data to a public dataset, which anyone can then use to train voice-enabled technology. As part of the role, Hillary support language communities through activities such as the Common Voice Language Reps to facilitate community feedback and cross-communal learning.
